Dominika is an insightful business and operations consultant, working with financial planning firms who want to make a real difference and run great businesses. She is the founder of RIE Solutions, helping firms master practice management, and offering operational guidance and mentorship.

Dominika specialises in generating operational solutions, designing improvements to processes, and structuring teams. Most importantly, she helps put these into practice. She works alongside Practice Managers, Operations Directors, business owners and their support staff. Dominika ensures that the businesses her clients want are the businesses they have.

Since joining the Financial Services industry in 2003, Dominika has helped countless businesses enhance and innovate the way they work. She draws on knowledge from both her business degree and a PhD in Psychology. This gives her consultancy a fresh and inventive perspective which keeps both the people and the results in mind. Her ideal clients to work with care about people and financial planning done well. Working together, they create excellent client experiences and companies people love to work for.

Before starting her career in consultancy, Dominika was a Partner and a Practice Manager for a London-based boutique financial planning practice. Her career in the industry began with a summer internship while studying at City University Cass Business School. At the time, she didn’t realise this was going to be the industry that she’d continue to feel passionate about for years to come.

Dominika is based in the beautiful Cotswolds where, when she isn’t changing businesses for the better, she is a lover of yoga, green spaces and sustainable living. She grew up in Torun, Poland, later moving to the UK where she’d fallen in love with the colourful hats she’d seen in Camden Town when she was ten years old. She did try a few short courses in millinery, but found her true passion in working with clay and creating beautiful pottery.

Five things you didn’t know about Dominika

1

What did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was a child, I wanted to be the next Dian Fossey, the American primatologist and conservationist. I played with soft toy monkeys instead of dolls, I read everything I could about the work of Dian Fossey and the mountain gorillas, and loved looking at photos of tropical forests in Africa.
2

What’s the most unusual item on your desk?

The most unusual item is the desk itself as it’s a Japanese-style low table with a legless chair. It’s easy to stick to a ‘clear desk policy’ as it’s too small to have anything on it, other than my laptop!
3

Who are your personal heroes and why?

Dian Fossey, Jane Goodall and Tenzin Palmo. Three inspiring women, humble pioneers and activists, who made the world a better place by following their passions and beliefs and living lives full of integrity.
4

Who would play you in the movie version of your life?

Anne Hathaway, her face suits many different hair styles and that is something that changes a lot in my life.
5

If you were an animal what would you be and why?

The answer to this question varies depending on the day. Today, I would be an eagle soaring through the skies over mountain tops and lakes. Just the idea of it gives me a sense of freedom and brings joy to my heart.
